I just bought my first American Idol song off iTunes. I’m not embarrassed— I’ll admit it. BTW— it was Kris Allen’s “Ain’t No Sunshine.”

I somehow resurrected my ipod from the dead.

It takes about a minute of fiddling to get it to work, and the battery is always less than half-charged, and the control wheel constantly chooses the wrong thing. But other than that, not bad for an ipod mini that I won in a raffle in 2003.

It also features such junior year playlist hits like Gwen Stefani’s “Love. Angel. Music. Baby,” Green Day’s “American Idiot,” and the lone track “Defying Gravity” from Wicked.

And my new car came with an ipod jack, so I can listen to all the podcats I want now.
